È stato approvato in via definitiva dalla Camera il disegno di legge di conversione del decreto-legge 104/2019. Il provvedimento trasferisce alcune funzioni e riorganizza i ministeri per i Beni e le attività culturali, delle Politiche agricole, dello Sviluppo economico, degli Affari esteri, delle Infrastrutture e trasporti e dell'Ambiente. Il provvedimento, inoltre, provvede ad incrementare e rimodulare gli stanziamenti per la revisione dei ruoli delle Forze di polizia e delle Forze armate e a prorogare le funzioni dell'Autorità per le garanzie nelle comunicazioni.
At its sitting of 4 March 2020, the Assembly of House gave final approval to the draft law converting Decree-Law No 1 of 2020 establishing the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Universities and Research.
Further work on the Ministerial organisation is taking place during the current parliamentary term.
First of all, Decree-Law 86/2018 has transferred responsibilities for tourism from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and has taken steps to revise the powers of the Ministry of the Environment and the policies and coordination functions of the President of the Council of Ministers in the field of families, adoptions, childhood and adolescence, disabilities.
Subsequently, Decree-Law 104/2019 has brought back tourism expertise to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and has modified the functions or organisation of the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transport and Environment.
